Opolskie Forum Organizacji Socjalnych (short form: OFOS) is non-governmental federation of social organizations which are acting on Opolskie voivodeship area, registered in 2003 . Federation was created on initiative of non-governmental social organizations Opolskie voivodeship , Regional Institute of Social Politic and Council of the Town. The main aims of “OFOS” are integration non-governmental social sector, representation and support of membership organizations.
Superior aim of OFOS - unites non-governmental organizations on Opolskiego voivodeship. The most important aim is also creation of exchange information and experience forum with social organizations on all voivodeship area, public sector , administration and business as help for integrated organizations united in OFOS and professional helping actions on Opolszczyzna area.
OFOS is propagating actions of social organizations which are intended to improve strength of marginal people in process on including in social life and giving them conditions for open socially at this group (volunteerism). This process is required at the same time as improvement strength of social sector infrastructure and develop professional skills of social organization personnel.
Thanks to establishment of co-operation with (Wspólnotą Roboczą Związków Organizacji Socjalnych) „WRZOS” it was possible to use experience with another organizations “parasolowych” which were established earlier in another voivodeships. As for today, OFOS is a member of WRZOS, cooperating thanks to them with another Regional Unions.
Purposes and intensions
Our purposes and intensions are presented as follows:
1) Integration of non-governmental social sector
2) Increasing quality of social service provided by non-governmental organizations
3) Cooperation with:
a) foreign partners
b) public administration
c) another organizations
